Purchase process in Peachtree Accounting software

How to make Purchase of products in Peachtree Accounting software. company to company business is mostly on credit bases.credit base transaction includes  purchase order and purchase receive inventory.

For this purpose first of all we will create purchase order from the “Task ” Menu.All the transaction both purchase and sale are taking place from the task menu while creating customer vendors, inventory items list and sales tax are taking place from the  maintain Menu.

Now how to make the purchase order, click on task menu. then click on purchase order.

In vendor ID : select the vendor to whom you want to send purchase order.

Quantity : put the quantity how much you want to purchase.

items       : select the items one by one

In the top right corner  give the PO Number like 1 or 2. PO stand for Purchase order.

then click on save.

Now again click on  the Task menu and click on Purchase receive inventory, select the vendor to whom you sent  purchase order.as you select the vendor.there will be an option of “apply to purchase order No“.As you click on this option, all the detail of Purchase order will be open.you should only put invoice number from the top right corner and put the “received” Quantity.this Mean how much Quantity you actually received from your supplier.

Purchase Process in Peachtree

after completion of purchase order and purchase receive inventory, click your mouse on refresh button which is available on dashboard.you will see the amount of accounts Payable will be raised in red color and your total revenue will be still Zero because we still haven,t make any sale transaction. after sales process  total revenue will be raises.that will also includes total cost  of sale , gross profit  and net income.
